After seeing a very good looking Maxwell rendering I decided to model a similar scene in XSI and render it using mental ray.
Thus, the goal here was to find a very realistic looking mental ray lighting and material setup.
Some slight color correction and very subtle depth of field was added in the post-processing stage.
